Element Fight Night Welterweight Champion Jacob ‘The Hog’ Desmond has been collecting wins since his debut in 2022.
Desmond has four fights to his name with a 4-0 record, with three fights ending by KO/TKO.
Jacob fights out of Element HQ and is currently the #6 ranked amateur welterweight in Australia and New Zealand.
The future is bright for Desmond who is looking to have one more amateur fight before turning professional.
A fight interstate for Eternal MMA or a Diamondback FC Welterweight Title fight is at the top of The Hog’s wish list for his last amateur bout.
Desmond aims to ‘consistently improve’ and ‘add new skills and sharpen my strengths’ in the short term which will allow him to achieve his ultimate goal of ‘successfully transitioning to the professional ranks and fighting for the UFC.’
Jacob credits Element HQ teammates Louis Joseph, Leo Gal and Sam Niejalke for being elite training partners, describing them as an ‘elite core.’
‘The five core values at Element: Effort, Culture, Intention, Honesty and Communication are instilled by the coaching team and are simple pillars to success.’ Desmond states.
A fan favourite, ‘The Hog’ always has a large support group at his fights.
‘I’m blessed by the support of my family and friends.’ Jacob says.
The EFN Welterweight Champion credits his supporters, as they giving him confidence to chase his dreams, something that he is ‘incredibly grateful’ for.
Desmond walks to the cage to Neil Diamond’s ‘Sweet Caroline’, which never fails to get the crowd on their feet.
‘The energy from my walkouts and the sea of Hog jerseys remind me why I’ve made the choice to fight.’
The future is bright for ‘The Hog’ and we will continue to follow and support his journey to the UFC.
We wish Jacob all the best in his future fights and career.
